The present invention (CLOUT9) is in the technical field of computer, smartphone, cable, satellite, tablet, browser and program guide visualization. More specifically, the present invention is in the technical field of data and preference visualization.

Conventional preference information and data are typically displayed in a flat HTML, web browser format, or cable/satellite channel scrolling format making it difficult to collectively view all these preferences in a holistic fashion that allows a viewer to quickly assess all the preferences of a person or channel. Conventional interest graphs typically are a collection of non-prioritized likes, interests, and preferences. The difficulty of using such an interest graph is that it does not portray a users’ preference information and data in an easy and engaging presentation model. Further, it is an uninteresting experience of just reading through a list or collection of icons.

The present invention, which is Clout9, is a 3D cube presentation format that allows a user to quickly organize and display all their preferences including media, sports, channels, shows, videos, finances, activities, interests, friends, music, books, art, movies, etc. in a fashion that allows a viewer to quickly determine what a person’s social graphs and interest graphs are. The invention also allows the person to create a somatic and emotional link through videos, music, and visual presentations of all the aforementioned preferences.

If we want a machine to understand our language, we have to go beyond the logic of the calculation that typically is associated with computers. Cognitive actions are the opposite of structured: everyday language can contain endless amounts and types of information, expressed in many different ways. More “intelligent” tools, such as cognitive computing systems based on semantics, have been gradually introduced to overcome the limitations of other technologies, offering users easier interaction with machines and easier access to information.

A computer can never fully substitute a human; however, semantics leverages specific artificial intelligence algorithms to successfully perform specific cognitive tasks that approach the automatic understanding of meanings. This is what differentiates semantics from other technologies because it is able to simulate how people read, understand language and process information.

The present invention is a way by which aggregated data, images, pictures, videos, icons, logos and text are used to create a social profile of interests that can be accessed by others and/or used to link and connect to other people with some or all the similar interests identified in the cube.

Referring now to the invention in more detail, in our 3D cube, it displays data in many panels. Each panel or side identifies particular and/or specific interests, whether it is music, art, shows, videos, programs, sports teams, artists, people, places, things, etc. The data collected are then used to help people quickly see the things a user is interested in. In addition, the tags from each image, icon, video, picture, logo, and text are used to match other people with like and similar interests. The 3D cube can also be used as a business card, resume, introduction profile, interest graph, or social graph.

The invention can also be used as a form factor for online, browser, IPTV, satellite, cable programming guides. Each side represents a particular or specific interest (sports, movies, news, education, religion, music, art, family, comedy, etc.). It can also be utilized on images and image taxonomy to build a search-friendly online profile for indexing by search engines for presentation within a Search Engine Result Page (SERP); utilize images and image taxonomy to determine degrees of interest in a social media profile. Utilizing a 3D virtual cube in an online service to visually depict an individual user in an online community; utilize 3D cube visualization to depict information in an online community.

This information could depict likes and interest of an individual in a community. The 3D cube visualization could depict groups within a community of people of common interest.

Personal Data and Preference Visualization

Utilizing personal data and preferences on a 3D cube form factor made up of images, pictures, text, and videos and being able to connect people based on those preferences and likes. In taking these personal data and conducting a search within social networks you are able to build connections and communities based on “common interests.”

Brand Advertising. Utilizing cubes as a form factor for brand advertising and promotions. Fly by ads and sponsorship cube environments & 4.7 degrees of separation, and using cubes to define proximity of relationships based on common interests.

Cubes define a set of creative or expertise energy/gravity. Based on how significant you are, what you know, and all your cubes that have been voted best by peers, you can create GRAVITY and pull more people into your universe.

Business Intelligence. Utilizing Cubes in aggregation to define trends, movements, preferences, and shifts in product or service popularity. Insider Private Cubes. Utilizing the inside of a cube to create a hologram of data and information. The cube goes from a public cube and turns inside out into a private cube with a password.

Cubes define what country and city you are from. Using a global earth view of a rotating globe, cubes are suspended above the globe with your profile picture and flag of your country to identify your cube’s origin.

Rubik’s Cube– Creating fun puzzles and games and secret messages that encrypt with certain rotation and decrypt with a set number of rotations.

Cube Video Conferencing– each panel on the cube represents a placeholder for a video session. You can have 9 concurrent video conferences based on the nine (9) panels on one side of the cube.

Regarding the approach and user base for the Clout9 technology, Clout 9 semantic technology reads and tries to understand language and words in its context. Social media companies generally offer specific types of services to users. For example, these services may include sharing general purpose communications, video content, real-time news, thoughts, photos, visual stories, and preferences. These services, however, lack sufficient functionality to create, organize and share interests in a user-friendly visual platform.

Most social media platforms are two-dimensional. Namely, preference information and shareable content in the platforms are typically displayed in a flat, HTML format, or alternatively in a channel scrolling format. This format makes it difficult to collectively view all the preference information and shareable content preferences in a holistic fashion.

In view of increased responsibilities, users have less time to view all of their available social media content. What is desired in the art is a platform that maximizes the amount of social media content a user can view in the shortest amount of time. What is also desired in the art is a touch-enabled platform whereby users can update, organize and share visual social media content.
